CREATING A CLUB BROCHURE. COMMUNICATIVE TASK

In this activity, students have to create their own leaflets describing a club so that their mates join it. With this, it is easy to improve communicative skills as well as writing at basic levels.

You can create a PBW (ABP) with this task if you plan it before hand and it can be really engaging for your students.

How can we do it?

1st step:

  • Revise and learn the vocabulary about leisure activities, school subjects, hobbies and sports
Create a brochure including:

a. The name of your club
b. Some pictures to make it more catchy
c. Contact information: e-mail, address, telephone, webpage
d. Information about the activities you do or the activities people can do at your club
e. Some sentences to atract people's attention

2nd step:

  • Present your brochure to the class trying to convince them to join your club. You can use the following ideas to create your presentation and your leaflet.
  • TECHNO-OPTION: Create a power point presentation or a power point video introducing your club. Use it to support your ideas. Include images and make it fun!
