SAINT PATRICK, WHY IS IT CELEBRATED?

Who was Saint Patrick?

Why is he so important?
On 17th March, Irish people celebrate their day, due to Saint Patrick, who converted the Irish into Christianity in the island in the 5th century.  There are celebrations worldwide, wherever there is an Irish person. The typical colour is green, as it is related to Ireland.

Typical symbols for the Irish people are: LEPRACHAUNS (A KIND OF DWARF WHO LOVES GOLDEN COINS) AND the THREE LEAVED SHAMROCK, Another symbol is the SNAKE, because the legend says that St. Patrick fought them to save Ireland.

Finally, let's watch a video on the fantastic celebrations that took place in Dublin, with beautiful pictures taken worldwide. Enjoy yourselves and GO GREEN!
